Worst School Colors
Don't mess with purple and gold! Those are JMU colors! But I went to an invite last season and saw a team with baby blue and orange! Ugh it was so ugly looking. North Sanford High School in VA somewhere is what I think it was called. And I am sick of blue and "gold" schools, at states out of like 38 teams, 16 were some kind of blue and "gold."
Hey is that a pole in your hand or are you just happy to see me?

two bad schemes
Coosa county HS in GA has Baby blue, pink, and silver uniforms. No joke. Their 1 male vaulter dyed his hair pink and blue in "school spirit" last year.
We had a kid move into our school this year from OH and he wears a brown and goldish yellow letterman's jacket. Pretty god awfully ugly.

our area doesn't really have any bad color combos...black and gold my school, blue and silver, blue and gold, green and white, red and black, purple black and silver (odd, but still cool, and no the guys don't have to wear purple...the guys track unis are black and silver, and the girls are purple and silver)...okay i take that back...we have one bad one...black and orange...

COLORS LOL
When I was asked to design teal and purple for the pole vault and high jump pits for the 1996 Olympic Games.
I thought I was going to PUKE.
But it really looked better than I thought. EARL Has that PV Pit now
We had a purple pit with orange top pad once looked better all put togeather.
Purple and yellow was ok too after it was togeather.
We just made a brown one with gray top pad looked awful

Colors
We also have made some real sharp color combo pits - and then there are some you just raise an eyebrow at - usually has a brown, orange, or yellow involved in a combination. Univ. of Oregon has dual double enders in a nice Green/Yellow-Gold - Green Bay Packer colors - thought that was nice of them

our unis were pretty nasty looking. thank god we get new ones next year. The day-glo yellow/green is horrific. Its a lot worse in person than in the picture. our volors are just plain green and yellow. the head coach wanted the kids to look "unique" on the track. poor kids.....

While our high school colors of scarlet and gray look sharp, they are a royal pain to find in that combination. We are in Ohio and your would think that given the success of Ohio State over the years that the color combination would be easy to find...not so. We end up red & white like every other red school. We can get them custom made but they are expensive and difficult to replace in a timely manner. I have found a nice charcoal gray short and will probably combine that with a deep red top. It should look pretty good, but again not the easiest to find and still an all red top.
