Tork inducted into Pole Vault Hall of Fame

FAIRMONT — Dave Tork, the Fairmont native who established a world record in the pole vault back in 1962, has been inducted into the National Pole Vault Hall of Fame.
His induction took place in Reno, Nev.
Tork, who visited Fairmont recently from his Wheeling home, said the induction was part of a yearly event called The Summit that has Nike as a sponsor.
“It brings together aspiring pole vaulters — both boys and girls, men and women, from beginner to world champion,â€
