Thieves strike a blow to the heart of rainbowgirl
Yesterday while I was grocery shopping, someone threw a brick through the window of my car and stole my friend's guitar, my only textbook for my only class, and my coaching backpack.
My (really cool Nike 2005 USATF Annual Meeting) backpack had:
My spikes
My training log with ALL my numbers from 2004-present
My Power Rangers binder that had all my numbers on my kids this year
A bungee
A tape measure
10 or so butt plugs (yes, I told that to the cop over the phone!)
My star tennis ball runway markers
And other cool stuff
We spent an hour combing the area in hopes they had dumped it nearby, but came up with nothing.

Wow that sucks. Things that are impossible to replace are the worst.
I try to prevent this by keeping my interior empty of all items. Everything goes in the trunk if I am going to leave the car somewhere. If you were at a grocery store you would think someone would notice since there is usually a lot of traffic in the parking lot.

Yeah, I didn't think much about it because it was just a quick stop to the grocery store. Unfortunately, we were parked at the side of the store, where there was low visibility and high shadiness.
I park there probably at least once every other week, but I guess I normally go during the week when there are construction workers around (it is next to a big construction project).
I'll park in the main parking lot from now on

Dang, I'm sorry Becca. That's happened to me twice now, had my bag stole out of the back of my truck in an apartment parking lot, found it the next day in the grass. Had my truck stolen from in front of a grocery store. The truck was found the next day in front of a pool hall in austin with everything still there except two cigarettes. The thief left a full pack on the dash. I guess he just really needed to shoot some pool. Both my bags were still there. I hope you have the same luck I did and find your stuff.
