How high could Carl Lewis pv?

How high could Carl Lewis pv?

:P Someone said theres nothing interesting on the board. Wells heres a stupid but interesting question. How high could Carl Lewis pole vault? I mean take a guy with 29+LJ and former wr in the 100m, and put him on a pole?

The problem with Carl Lewis is that he would do what he wanted. Tom Tellez is probably one of the few people he ever listened to. If he decided to try PV he would give up after a week if he wasn't jumping 20'.
On the other hand if had a different personality and worked at it and gotten the technique maybe he could've gotten on some looong poles and jumped higher then Bubka ever dreamed of. Of course I don't know how you could control that kind of speed on the runway. Imagine planting while moving at 27-29 MPHs! But who really knows.
In my mind Lewis is the greatest athlete ever. Owens and Thorpe might be close but my first track memory is of watching him in '88. Seeing Lewis made me want to be a long jumper.

Kyle - good question - this is where the mental toghness/insanity factor comes in - would he be out there enough to run full speed and plant? potential - whoa - tall - fast -

hed obviously have the potential to get on sum HUGE poles, but first hed have to master the technique enough to use them?? as most of us know, that usually takes a bit of time. :confused:
