I'm 185 and the biggest pole I got on was a 15-195 and I jumped 16-0.

Dang!!.. I know I am not the biggest vaulter but I go ahead and say I was about 120 and used a 130 pole now I am like 127-130 and I think I migh move to a bigger pole..not sure yet...

well I am a massive 5'9" and a 1350 pounds minus one zero on the end yea just 135 and uses a 13 150

yeah i was about to say, trey is prolly the heaviest of the 'in shape' vaulters mentioned here. plus the tallest and most likely one of the strongest.

when i was vaulting well last year
i weighed 182

and i was using a 16'9 205 holding at 15'9. So if we go by 20 lbs per foot

thats like weighing 182 and using at 225 lb pole, so thats about 43 lbs

the sad thing is little lindsey regan was poles almost 40 lbs over her weight

I always thought it was 5 lbs per 6 inches?????

yeah thats what i used to think as well. But the latest thing i heard via jan johnson was 20lbs per foot. i dunno though.
