Pit Reconditioning

Unread postby CowtownPV » Fri Jul 24, 2009 2:55 pm

I know LISCO out of Lubbock does a great job re-doing pits but I was wondering if any body had ever added foam to an old pit. I am seeing schools in my area getting new pits ( some just now meeting standards that were passed years ago others just because they have bond money for new stadiums) and they have old pits that are worn out and just want to get rid of them. I know most of the mats have a honeycomb of foam and I am wondering if you could take blocks of foam out of two old pits and combine them for one pit. Then all I would have to buy is a top cover. Anybody ever tried this?
