Pits sliding on floor / underlayment

Does anyone have a good solution to prevent or reduce pits sliding back? Our pits (4 year old Gill Scholastic II) are placed on a smooth rubber indoor surface used for PE classes, basketball, volleyball, etc. After about every 15 or 20 minutes worth of vaulting, the pits have slid back anywhere from 6" to 12". Any kind of underlayment must be removable (we can set up our pits only once or twice a week) and CANNOT mar the floor. Thanks.

Disclaimer - I've not tried this myself, so I don't know how well (or if) it will work.

Here's a thought - you know those thin rubber gripper pads that are used under area rugs/runners to keep them from slipping on floors? You'd need several of them, but it might work. Also - run-throughs tend to move the pads back more than vaults. If you can discourage run-throughs, the pit won't move as much.

I set the back of ours against a wall or the bleachers. And a lean a mat the wall in case anyone goes deep.
