breaking poles

Unread postby Benjamin1205 » Fri Sep 10, 2004 9:43 pm

hey i just seen this new section at neovault.com that had videos of vaulters breaking there poles. It looks really interesting to watch, I have never seen someone break there pole and i have been polevaulting for a few years now. The only problem is that you have to be a member and pay a 39 dollar fee to watch the videos. I was just wondering if any one knows any other websites were i could see a person break there pole? Is anyone a member at neovault? If you are it would be really cool if you could download one of those videos and emial it to me a Benjamin1205@aol.com.

ok, even though people break poles, it's still awesome to see them jump.

I don't think anyone here would do that. Sean Brown (the guy that runs Neo Vault) is a member of this site, and we all try to help him out and support Neo Vault.

Who would charge people money to watch a stupid pole vault video? 40 dollars is a lot of money. you would really have to be obsesed with pole vaulting (or very rich) to become a member there anyways.

Please tell me your kidding! I think Sean only charges 36.50 for an annual membership. If you ask me that is cheap. I think any less would be a waste of his time considering the bandwidth he gets each month. And 40 bucks for a video???? That ain't a whole lot..... in fact, I think he may be cheaper than many others and his video is the s***.

get real...must be obsessed....a lot of peopl on this board are, and even if not, it's a video you could have the rest of your life, and they are great videos. Most people on this board are going to agree, though it is nice to have free video, it is also nice how good of a product all the neovault products are and if you have to pay for them, do it. It does take some time, and you shouldn't be afraid of supporting someone trying to do something positive for the vault community.
Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill. - Muhammad Ali

they were free before probably because mr. brown was kind enough to give the public access for it. but again, u got to remember, the web space world is expensive and does come with a price, especially if u got a bunch of big video files. so it really shouldn't be a surprise that neovault would charge people for the vidoes shown annually. and if ya don't wanna pay for the web, then go buy c'mon and bring it on dvd. can't hurt to ...

I found a good use for a broken pole. I sawed off a six-foot section, attached a hook and a small basket to one end, and took it to a u-pick apple orchard. It worked quite well. I finally found a way to reach those plump red ones at the tops of the trees. LOL!!!

Correct, Blaze. Bandwidth is VERY expensive, if not the most expensive thing in the online world, and if thousands of people are downloading 5 mb files off Sean, the bandwidth adds up, and pretty damn fast. Why do you think so many free sites end up paysites, Benjamin? because they need FUNDING to keep paying for the bandwidth to supply you with awesome videos. What? you think he can do it for fricking free? nothing is free online, there's always SOMEONE paying something to get you that stuff.
