helmets

Does anyone know how many states require the usage of helmets by vaulters, highschool and college? What are your thoughts on mandatory helmets for pole vault?

maine requires it for high school. I don't really mind either way about wearing them, just whatever will let them let me jump :D

maryland does for regular meets, but we don't have to wear them at invitationals.
