I did a Problem Based Learning Experience once for my 9th grade Tech class on Cross Bar Putter Uppers and came out with many designs. They then had to test then during meets to determine the best design, Came out with the best one, designed the manufacturing process and determined that it wasn't profitable compare to a stick taped to a broken pole....
