Sliding boxes

Unread postby polevaultspaz » Sat Aug 12, 2006 5:54 pm

Does anyone know how to make a sliding box. I know you can buy them, but is it cheaper to make one? If so, does anyone know the dimentions or materials needed to construct this? Thanks.

You can usually build one with scrap 2x4's or 2x6's. There not tough to build. Just get the rough dimensions of the bottom of the box and build it. It doesn't have to be perfect because you are going to beat the snot out of it any way. Make sure you use wood glue and screws to keep it together.

Based on the number of posts you have made, I conclude you are relatively new to the message board. Often the best thing to do before making a post is to do a search of previous topics and posts to see if your question has been asked before. A quick search for "make sliding box" resulted in several matches, the following being one that you may find useful.
