i like how the carbon mystics do it... you get a 14' pole and the weight sticker is as close to the top as they can fit it (usualy around an inch and a half thick and touching the top of the pole) so that the hand hold is basicaly about 14ft!

why buy a 14' pole that you can only hold 13'6, if i wanted to do that i would get a 13'6 (this is if i could acculay hold 14, because currently i hold about 13'3 on my 14' pole)

Another question: would it be illegal to move the weight sticker on the UCS pole to accomodate for those 6" you lose?

You wouldn't be breaking any laws that I know of. You would, however, be breaking the rules.

Really? Can someone post the rule? I know it says a label from the manufacturer but does it say anything about replacement labels being placed in the original position by the manufacturer?

But I guess it would make sense, because then you could have covered up the weight engravement and change the whole label... (CHEATING!!!)

Yes. The high school rules specify something to the effect that the label must be placed by the manufacturer (or as intended by the manufacturer?).

As an official, I would DQ any pole in a heartbeat if it was a SPIRIT pole with a pink label less than 6" from the top.
