I'd love the chance to talk about the vault sometime with you and roman, its just not practical right now. Talking with Tim McMichael was a great experience for me, and no doubt pyschologically got my excited about going high this year. I want to meet as many coaches like that as i can, because there are so few out there. Im lucky enough to be coached by one and to have met a few others so young already, but you can count on me bugging you plenty when the time is right, Alan!
The greater the challenge, the more glorious the triumph

I generally do not like to participate in vault camps because in my opinion they do not produce lasting effect beyond the few days the camps are attended. However, I have been offered a complete freedom to organize my presentation and activities, so I am looking forward to attending the camp and producing lasting effect for all participants.
My activities will include:
1. Theory of modern pole vault, including Q&A sessions. – 30% of total time.
2. Personal Video reviews with concrete recommendations for continuous development – 20% of total time.
3. Building a draft for individual training program that fits your schedule and goals, whether you are trying to set a high school record, win a state, get scholarship, win collegian championship, qualify for Olympic Trials or win Olympic Medal. – 25% of total time.
4. Practical vaulting sessions (for all levels) – 25% of total time.
Beyond the conference I will continue to advise participants through different channels and as my time permits.
See you Friday June 13th at Slippery Rock University.

You speak about having 'lasting effects' beyond the camp. In what way, would your listed 'plans' create the lasting effect?

First, I must clarify that I am talking about coaches’ clinic.
1. I will introduce major concepts and answer questions about modern (I call 640 model) pole vault model. This will allow us to communicate effectively in the future. It is very hard to go beyond manifesto without writing a book like BTB and even then you will need to go and clarify positions and concepts.
2. I will identify major points and techniques for reviewing the vaulting video. This skill should be helpful for coaches at any level.
3. I will present a method of athlete assessment and creating a carrier training program that includes annual training schedule based on the concept of working in the period of any training method and exercise most effective for achieving desired results.
4. I will introduce the concept and some “auto correctiveâ€

Just to confirm that there will be two strands at the Slippery Rock clinic for coaches. The first will be run by agapit and will deal with advanced elements of the petrov model while I will conduct the second, which will introduce the Petrov model and detail how to teach it.
