TERRY PORTER OLYMPIAN 1976

I was pleased to hear about Terry Porter jumping again.

I could tell you some great stories of how one time I found a skypole 214 test pole laying on 35W north bound highway on my way back from the Texas relays onetime. I stopped and picked it up as cars were driving over and around the pole. I discovered this was Terry Porter's pole that had fallen out of the tubes on his car. He jumped on those poles in the 1976 Olympic trials and they were not broken or damaged it was a miracle lol.

Terry Porter jumped 18' to take third in the meet to become America's Olympian vaulter.

Terry was one of those vaulters who had a lot of natural talent.
I love the PV, it is in my DNA
