What are the Elites using?

Unread postby varska » Fri Feb 27, 2009 2:15 pm

Just out of curiosity - I was wondering if anyone knew what size poles the Elite female vaulters like Stuczynski and Isi were using? Thanks for any info on the matter.

If you threw a dart between 14'7 155 and 15' 165 you would hit the mark.

That's a pretty small window and it really depends on how tall they are and how much they weigh. I know of a certain female D1 vaulter who regularly jumps on a 14-6 165/170 Pacer Fx Carbon.

How is that not in the range I said? Besides, the question was about Jenn and Lena.

Yes it is in that range. If those numbers for Jen and Isi are true I am quite surprised they aren't on stiffer poles with their speed and strength.

I read on iaaf.org that Isi's new pole is a 15' 18.3 flex--puts it as a heavy 165, light 170.
