Perhaps wrong thread... If anyone has footage of Chad Harting, I would appreciate if you posted it. Or tell me where to find it.

In his 2001 Summit vid, Harting holds the bar on with his left hand!

What year did this become illegal? I think it was called the Volz Rule, so I'm guessing that the rule change occurred in the 1980s when Dave Volz was jumping?

So did Hartilng's jump count as a make or a miss?

I don't think it changed until the mid 90's. At least until after Galfione jumped 6m and held it on with his hand. Also in the video of Bubka's meet where he jumps the World Record he holds the bar on at like 5.90m for his third attempt.
