So i decided I'm going to order PV II's, but I'm not sure what size to get.
As a general rule, (when i buy converses or certain boots... not spikes) I add 2 sizes to men's shoes for women's sizes, but the conversion chart on FirsttotheFinish says to add 1.5 sizes on men's sizes for the correct women's sizes.
So with that conversion, i figured since I usually wear a size 8 (in trainers), I would get a 6.5. But when I looked at the EUROPE equivalents, it doesn't match up. (it tells me that it'd be a 38.5 Europe)
Both of my XC distance spikes, my MD spikes, and my flats are 40 in Europe size. This makes my shoe size for the PV II 7.5 which... if I used my first conversion rule (2 sizes difference) makes me a 9.5, which is kind of freaking me out because I don't think that looks or sounds right.
I guess spikes are different?
What do you think I should do? (OR, if you're a girl and have the spikes, how'd you convert the sizes/how'd things works out)
Girls sizes for PV II??

Re: Girls sizes for PV II??
I usually wear a women's 7 for running shoes, which is a little roomy, but comfy. For spikes in women's sizes, when I wore mid-distance I did a women's 6.5. I am pretty sure my first pair of Nike's were a 5.5. Then I ended up with a free pair of: PV Lites (the original red/blue), the new TJ shoes, and the 2nd generation PV Spikes (black and grey) which are the ones you are asking about. All in size 6 which is a little on the big side for me, but you take what you can get! I found that the PVIIs had the snuggest fit of the three, even more than the original PV Lites, though I am sure that is mostly in my head. I am sure I could have gone down to a 5.5 and they would have fit slightly better, but the 6's were not huge.
So I think 1.5 sizes down is about right. 2 sizes down would probably be too small. But of course everyone's feet are different. Try to order from somewhere with a good return/exchange policy.
