Info is now posted at: http://www.polevaultpower.com/decathlon/

We hosted this event in 2006 and got rave reviews. Looking forward to topping it in 2009!

I would really like more of you geezerjocks to try the decathlon. It is SO MUCH FUN :)

GeezerJocks....we'll now that I'm officially in that category (35), I'll let that slide...but be nice to us...

August in WA is pretty humid...what's the breeze like? any other tips that help for going to WA?

It's rarely humid in Seattle, especially not when it's warm outside. Our track is cut into a hill and is very shady (I am usually chilly, even in the summer). We'll also have pop tents and such, so even if we are having a heat wave and it gets into the 90s, it is still quite comfortable at our track.

August average high temperature: 75°
August average low temperature: 57°
August average precipitation: 1.16"

This kills me to take a pass.
I know Jeff Watry runs a class event, I have been meaning to travel to Washington to see family members, I haven't done a decathlon for a couple years, I like the prospect of having all summer to train, but.....I can't get away from work at that time. A year from now, I'd be retired and wouldn't have to worry about.

Well it will probably come back our way circa 2012, so maybe we will see you then :) Normally the meet is held in July, this year the dates just worked out different for a lot of big meets.

Nadine jumped 10' yesterday before calling it. The other competitors begged her to keep jumping!
