Can anyone tell me if the ESSX flex numbers and the Gill flex numbers are the same. Also does ESSX flex there 5m poles over the same length they flex there 490 poles. In other words does a 490 17.0 ESSX the same as a 5m 17.0 ESSX or is there about a 5 pound difference between theese two poles assuming you are holding the same height on both.

No, ESSX flex numbers and Gill flex numbers are not the exact same. They may be similar in some lengths, but if you need to compare poles with some precision you need to flex them yourselves.
