On the latest Man vs. Wild, Bear Grylls pole vaults down a mountain with a small tree he chopped down. He says maybe he'll invent a new sport, "Mountain Poling".

Then he pole vaults across a stream and actually uses the term pole vault.

we had to watch a stress management movie in health class, and there was a clip of a vaulter guy, and in the background they had him say all the things he was thinking to himself of what he had to do in his next vault. and then they showed his run and paused at the takeoff and went onto the next bit.

Well, this one isn't QUITE vaulting, but it'sk ind of close...Alice in Wonderland, the new one. I won't elaborate since it just came out but I saw that and immediately thought, "POLE VAULT! Sort of..."

Very cool movie by the way. The costumes and make up were GENIUS.
