I've asked this once before, but got no answer:
Who coached Bubka after split with Petrov?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that he had several people around, I think to catch marks or watch various parts of the vault, but he coached himself

i did some research on bubkas second coach i didn't see any name but this is what sergey bubka said in his speech

"It is important to plan every detail carefully, and to work together as a team. My results are due not only to my character and preparation but to the contribution of my first coach, my current pole vault coach, my running coach, my weight lifting coach, my psychologist, my doctor, my physiotherapist, my masseur. We must combine all our knowledge to improve the final result."

not much out there that i could find about the second coach.

Why did Bubka ever split with Petrov? I'd like to hear that story...

Whatever happened back then - happened back then! They remained, and still are, great friends with enormous respect for each other. Why else would Bubka be the major driving force in IZZy going to Vitali. In essence you dont need to know what happened - it will just become grist to the mill of pole vault gossip.

After Petrov, he was coached by Evegenij Volubov and later on by Arkadij Shirva.

I'm with Al on this one. Coaches and athletes split all the time for various personal and political reasons. Knowing the true why would probably just get twisted into rumor regardless of how terrible or innocent. Stay on point if your really interested in learning more about the coaches he worked with after.

But I must add, most of the time when a great athlete leaves a great coach after several years, the new coaches are more like glorified assistants in a program and system that the athlete is creating on there own. Not that, that is what happened in this case, I just see it a lot.

Evgenij Volubov was Bubka´s second coach after Petrov, he trained Bubka from 1990 to 1995, after that he was coached by Arkadij Shirva, who was Bubkas old training partner in Donetsk. Shirva himself jumped 5,65
