This Sophomore I started vaulting so I suck at the moment but recently I was moved to a new pole, got a much higher grip, and am clearing 7 feet. Only thing is, every time I vault, I'll go over the bungee but I move to the right (and almost hit the standards w/my head). How exactly do I correct this?
*I have my 5 step down though I'm not sure if I drive my knee up all the way and keep my bottom arm straight, is this what's causing my weird vault?
thanks in advance <:

Re: Multiple Questions
Video of your vault would help greatly!
But.... Sounds like you're planting late and not getting your hands up in time. When this happens the pole will be angled to the side, thus causing your body to follow in that direction. Also what could be happening is you're not taking off from the center of the runway.
