The NFHS is pleased to announce the launch of “Pole Vault: Successful Skill Development.” This is a FREE online course developed through the collaboration of the National Federation of State High School Associations, National Collegiate Athletic Association and USA Track & Field. This is the first of our continuing efforts to provide sound techniques that will help minimize risk of injury and improve performance in the event of pole vault.
The course is designed for both the coach and the vaulter. The foundations of the skills and techniques of pole vaulting are covered, as well as the unique challenges of the event that both coaches and vaulters will encounter. Focus of the course is skill development for beginners, drills and coaching techniques, maintaining practice and competition environments with unnecessary risks for injury and other information to help athletes understand the science behind pole vaulting. This course is applicable to all levels of coaching and competition.
Please follow the provided link to view a preview of the course.
