Diet

Unread postby Ins0mnizac » Thu Feb 26, 2004 6:13 pm

Ok so i have a horrible diet (fast food and such you know, Mountain Dew addiction) I was wondering what other people are eating to stay in shape and help build strength. I could also stand to lose like 5 pounds before outdoor season. So if anyone has any ideas on diet i would apreciate it.

You would probably drop the 5 pounds easy if you got rid of the Mountain Dew and fast food. Plus you would perform better with a healthier diet.

To lose weight effectively you must have a complete change of lifestyle. Everything must change. YOur workout habits, eating habits, sleeping habits, EVERYTHING.

That is the best way to lose wieght. Ya, you could lose wieght real fast and real easy, but that is unhelathy and unsafe. Just be consistant in your change of lifestyle, you will see that your athleticism will rise and you will FEEL better about yourself.

good luck.

Stop eating out. Only eat food you prepare yourself and stop drinking pop and you will be eating healthier and saving lots of money

I've lost nearly 20 lbs. (178 - 158) since mid-November by cutting white flour and sugar (a modified low-carbohydrate Atkins approach) from my diet. I had been exercising regularly before but the change in eating habits was what produced results. I'm actually jumping on stiffer poles now - maybe because I've gotten faster as I've dropped weight.

Fast food typically has tons of white flour and sugar. Last time I looked, so does Mountain Dew. No one said that'd be easy. ;)

Good luck.

Yeah, you're right, they do call it that! Just plain "Soda" is for New York transplants like myself, but not Western NY.

one can of coke a day is 15 lbs a year. that's the best place to start. i've kinda been on the atkins diet since last february...not real strict...i still eat mexican food about 4 days a week and i've lost 53 lbs. I think the biggest difference for me has been a major reduction in portion size and the switch to diet coke. i also haven't had pasta in a year, and very little rice or bread.

YES YES YES, The bubbler I haven't heard that since HS when the upper classmen would give the freshman "bubbler rides". A bubbler ride was if you were unfortunate enogh to get caught in the hallway by a couple of guys they would sit you on top the bubbler and turn it on and soak your pants!!!
