So I got invited to attend this thing in Australia that is called Down Under Sports, and it is supposed to be this big track and field tournament with people from the US, Australia, and New Zealand. I don't really know anything about it, except that I am supposed to attend for pole vault in the summer of 2014. Does anyone know about the program, or have anything that would be useful in deciding if going down to Australia would be worth it?
(for the record my PR as of today is 12ft. and I am a 10th grader)
Thanks for any information you might have

Re: Down Under Sports
That's a really expensive trip, especially from your side of the continent and with poles. The money would be better spent traveling to one of the many great PV clinics in your part of the country. You could probably travel to 3-5 multiple day clinics for the money you would spend to get to Australia and New Zealand.

Yeah, my after talking with my coaches, and parents more we essentially decided that we could much more easily go to clinics, and camps all over the US for the same money.
Re: Down Under Sports
While it's probably not quite a scam, it definitely sounds like this company is really just a travel agency that makes money on athletes and their families making the trip.
Looking at the results, it's a mediocre practice at best. Some PV divisions only had 1 entry and virtually all the entries were the Americans that made the trip.
