A note to T&FN from Rick Suhr, the husband/coach of vault great Jenn Suhr:
<<Jenn has re-signed with adidas for another 4 years and she has made a major decision to switch brands of poles.
Going from a fiberglass pole to a carbon.
Jenn will be the first World Record holder to switch her pole.
All WR's in the last 20 plus years have been set on fiberglass (UCS SPIRIT) poles but now she is going to jump on Carbon FX (Gill) poles.
It was years in the making and extensive research but we finally have completely made the switch and she is learning the timing of these poles which have a much more aggressive reaction.>>

You should show us some about that because 4.75 would be the present WL if been done in a official meeting...
Re: Jenn Suhr switching from Spirit to CarbonFX poles!
Show you? Don't add insult to this thread. Jenn clearing 4.75 isn't unusual. Nor, it is it a big deal for her.

Wan is not a native English speaker, I think he was just trying to say that he would like to see video, I am sure Jenn's first meet since like college on a carbon is of interest to a lot of people...

Thanks... It's just what I was trying to say... and sorry for my bad English language.

Sure ! I know that.
Now I would be very happy to watch some videos with that kind of carbon pole to see how it's reacting.

Re: Jenn Suhr switching from Spirit to CarbonFX poles!
I'm really interesting about those carbon poles because I saw Luke Cutts breaking the UK record with this (on my mind) in Rouen in January (5.83), though his former PB was 5.70 in London (Diamond League 2013). But maybe I'm wrong...

Waw ! Looks easy... but very stiff too.
Why doesn't she compete at the moment ?

thanks klocke. I believe that was at a small college in Pennsylvania. I dont know what the status of the meet is in terms of iaaf marks. It was just something i heard from someone who was at the meet.
