Hi Kyle,
I've not seen something in the market that truly replicates the plant.
I have been working with a design engineer on a prototype. He needs about $1,500 to deliver a prototype.
Have you thought of building something custom and adjustable for each vaulter's frame?

Portable and sturdy are at odds with each other.
There was this posting last month of a home design. Dan does build and sell them: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=48354
Another that I've seen/used in person is also a homebuilt design, but not very portable: http://www.polevaultfactory.com/PoleVau ... Tower.html
I'm sure Alan would share dimensions and specs with you if you contacted him. He's a great guy.

This is too vague.
If you want us to find these vids, you'll have to give us more precision than this mistyped URL.
For example, if it was a "take off bar" for sale by "Vault United", then it should be in their story, on this page: https://vaultunited.com/store-2/#!/Equipment/c/2708899/offset=0&sort=normal. But it's not.
If there's vids of someone using a take off bar, then please quote the URL of the vids. A quick glance thru the vids doesn't show any that have "take off bar" in the title.
I don't know why anyone would want to contact Ryan or Doug Hays about this topic without first seeing at least a pic of this mysterious "take off bar".
Please enlighten us.
Thanks.
Kirk

I didn't see the high-bar for sale on their site, but here is the video and a photo.

Nice!
I like the addition of the rings, which gives you a more natural grip than the straight high-bar.
And having the entire apparatus on wheels lets it give, which I think is closer to a real vault than a stationary bar. But this is only for the initial impact, when the pole hits the box. For the whip to inversion, I think I still favour a stationary bar. You can see in the vid that it gets a bit awkward as he inverts, as the apparatus slows down.
Perhaps ideal (in my mind at least) would be to put a stopper on it, so that it stops to an abrupt halt a couple feet after wheeling forward. This is easily done by tying a rope to it so that the rope stops it; or having the front wheels hit some barricade (such as a wall).
Being on wheels, you could easily move this outdoors to the pit too, for warmups and coaching!

*Heath, You are a stud, if you seek you will find... *Kirk, I wasn't the one looking so I wasn't searching for the URL's myself... Plus I know Kyle well enough to know he knows how to use a search engine and he can locate what he was looking for... Best luck! Keep us posted.
