It seems that the conditions were far from perfect: 13-14°C, drizzle and swirling wind. Renaud Lavillenie was for instance jumping from a shorter approach (16 steps) with a relatively small pole (5.00/15.0).

PV in Oslo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyRCXnNRAM4 (some jump are not included, they can be found in the full version of the competition https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTny_qqrcdc)
I'm Renaud's big fan, happy that he managed to win in these bad conditions. I hope he will achieve his goals this year)
Normally RL competed with 500 poles in winter-2009, jumping ~5.80. canag where did you get info about his poles in Oslo? I couldn't find anything
p.s. I don't speak English (and French) well, sorry for that

Mihasa, if you're Renaud's biggest fan, then you will be interested to know that this is the 108th time (if I'm not mistaken) that he's cleared 5.80 or better in competition.
But as his biggest fan, you probably already knew that!
With that kind of consistency, he's going to be hard to beat in Rio.
But I think he'll need 6.00+ to win, and he has more of those than any other active vaulter too.

Kirk, I think it was the 107th competition over 5.80. The 100th was All star perche. Then French champs, Jablonec, Worlds and 4 meetings this summer.
I agree. Maybe we'll see the first 6m at Olympics. It's time to make it, we've been waiting for many years!
p.s. In my opinion, Lavillenie's most beautiful victories were in 2012, because of high concurence. His 6.07 drama was also remakable. Then he won two Euro an one World gold medals with two jumps - it's super but not exciting. Outdoor WCh were not good at all(
I believe that the Olympic Games will be special, as interesting as London-2012!
I became Renaud's fan when he won Euro-2012 fighting with Otto. He amazed me so much!
