interesting
That's good. I almost went back at 9 and it was still raining at my house (15 miles south of the stadium). That officiating crew includes possibly the finest vault official in America. He confidently predicted they would have ya'll done in less than 3 hours on Friday.
It'll be interesting. There were several 13'6+ vaulters that didn't leave the ground once in warmup yesterday...and it was good weather during warmups.

Well was the event completed in less than 3 hours?

No, the dumb official, me, didn't look up to check where the bar was situated. The standards worked great, Steve Chappel in his patient way, explained and demonstrated how to work them. I just screwed up and didn't look up. The numbers are color coordinated with the colors up on the outrigger and I just failed to check it. My apologies to those three athletes that jumped with their standards wrong and to the rest of the athletes I delayed. Big thanks to the fans and coaches that were telling me it was wrong, but big thanks to the one that came down and showed me. I was looking at everything but the right thing. I hate to admit it, but I was the only glitch in a great competition.
compete and jump safe, have fun

I've seen that happen several times before, the one standard was in the red zone while the other was in the blue zone.
The jumper is who caught the problem as the bar from his view point looks to be at different heights.
What I thought might have occurred was something that happened last year at the mid-east regional. One standard failed to move the bar even though the wheel was rotated. Unless you looked up, you didn't notice.
Happened twice and each time it took 10 or more minutes to have the mfg rep correct the problem.
