4th of July Festival Vault

Unread postby tomreed » Sun Jul 04, 2004 12:15 pm

The guy that won the Vault in Belmont Kansas last night Jeremy Hull had this website on his shirt. So I thought i would check it out.

The festival was great and Jeremy Hull is an amazing vaulter. I have seen him jump in the past but I think he is going to impress you guys. He jumped 18'2" last night easily and and took 2 good attempts at 18'6" and a double front flip bail out on his third. The amazing part is he started at 16' and jumped every bar till 18'6". He did miss two at 16' needing bigger poles but man did he come alive then. He was a man among boys at this meet with second place being my son at 14'6". He said that was a huge meet PR and his first meet in a month. He is working with some old guy he calls Stoogy. I think Jeremy was a little upset that this big improvement came about a week too late for the Olympic Trials. Anyhow hold your head high and go for it again next year Good Luck.

Great site Jeremy Advertises well too.

Jeremy said he is pobably done for the summer. He said he couldn't afford to travel alot right now and will be going back to training for next year. He said Indoor USA championships are his focus now. He told me his secret too. One word technique, but he got to admit he's got speed.
Good Luck

Thanks Tom didn't realize you guys put that on here. I didn't make it in time for the trials but hopefully that will get me into next years indoors. I haven't trained really at all, just worked on technique a whole in the last 2 months and man did that help. Thats a 6 inch PR and i wasn't even on that big of pole. I wish that meet had alot more people there it would of been fun vaulting and fire works what a combo. Thanks to all that helped esp. Stoogy old wise man of pole vaulting.
