I think this forum should be dedicated to finding a new spokesman for track and field. I've had enough of Dwight Stones ruining a fantastic comp. I don't know how many times i've seen someone come up a foot short, and Dwight thinks they didn't have enough pole(what an idiot.) This isn't the first time someone has complained about Dwight, but the whole 'crash' thing is the straw that broke the camel's back. Honestly, there has got to be someone better out there.
Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill. - Muhammad Ali

New Track and Field Spokesman/Commentator
My vote is for Jan Johnson to take his place. Who else would be better to keep us entertained and informed of what is really going on in the vault!

i dont know. ive always actually liked dwight stones. although he often says dumb comments about a field event, he really does have enough knowledge of all the events to get the job done. he really does seem to enjoy comentating. i would say that he is a good broadcaster. i think before we throw out dwight we should get rid of carol and tom.

oh yea, when the vault first started last night they had this VERY VERY cheesy thing about how to vault, running fast and stuff like that... something about 23.9 mph coming down after clearing the height was part of it... WTF is the relevance about how fast they're coming down towards the mat?
Dwight Stones and the other NBC announcers don't know enough about the sports that they're talking about... they don't deserve to be there announcing things and throwing opinions at something they don't even understand!

whats dwight stone's past history? was he ever a vaulter, or is he some random person who just took the job to say things that sound "pv intelligent"?
yeah i thought the intro to polevault was also rather cheesy...one of the quotes i remember hearing about the "physics of the polevault" is that "the more the pole bends, the higher the vaulter goes" or something to that effect. wonder where they got their information for the "physics of the polevault"
