Ideas
Put plywood up and batton down the hatches August 1 and leave it that way until November Or live in a trailer on wheels that you can move your house when storms come Or live in an underground house Sorry...I know this really doesn't help.....
That's Jodie!!
A scripture that makes me think of all you girls and guys pole vaulting....
Habakkuk 3:19
The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights.

alright this is why i hate hurricanes:
where i live, we always have this huge buildup and school gets cancelled
and the day that we're out of school it's just kind of windy.
like today for instance, i was across town at my friends house hanging out around 9-ish. my dad calls me tells me to come home because the weather's going to get bad. i was like um ok, but it's not. so i come home, and now it's 11:33pm and it's a beautiful 80 degrees, with slight gusts of wind- nothing that would mess up anyone's hair. it's a good thing i didn't stay out, i might've gotten caught in that- WHEW!
P.S. i'm not complaining that hurricanes don't hit us here, i am complaining about the exaggeration of it in this area. i am grateful that i was lucky enough to not to get hit.::sigh::maybe jeanne will go away too?

Volusia county schools (Daytona Beach) did not have any school last week because of Francis. They decided Thursday or Friday to cancel school for Monday. Ivan didn't end up coming anywhere near there.
Those kids will be in school until July at this rate

UPDATE: 12:43am EST
weather could be adequately described as pleasant, and cool with a smidge of humidity. i think we had a light rain at one time tonight- it lasted approximately 10 minutes.
