Grand Prix Pole Vault Circuit

Unread postby lonpvh » Tue Jan 25, 2005 11:23 am

Hey Everyone, I just wanted to announce that with the coorporation of many people, we have developed a semi-pro pole vault series that will take place in various location in the US for emerging-elite athletes. The series is set up where athletes will compete for prize money and points at meets from Jonesboro, AR - Hot Springs, AR - Wrightsville Beach, NC - Orlando, FL - San Marcos, TX - and ending at the oldest street vault in America Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis, IN.

All the meets are pole vault only meets. We hope that this circuit will help aid emerging-elite athletes in their careers in pole vaulting, aid in the development of younger athletes, as well as promote the event to the general public.

We are now looking for 14 athletes who would like to participate in the circuit. For more information on the Circuit check out:

www.polevaultcity.com and click on the grand prix pole vault circuit link. or just write me. Lon

My 16 year old son attended the meet at the Indy State Fair this year and we had a great time once the rain stopped and the vaulting started. What effect will the adding of the grand prix circuit have on the ability of young vaulters (high school) to attend this meet. The atmosphere was really neat with the midway, bands, and the famous Llama barn to provide shelter from the rain. Hey, it was also an educational trip - We learned more about Llamas than we had ever imagined. LOL Thanks for putting it on Bryan, we WILL be back next year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just gimme three more years! That will be so much fun! What is the main difference between this and the NAPVA?

Location. NAPVA is great but it should really be CAPVA since the majority of the meets are in or around California. This new circuit gives athletes in the rest of the country a chance to make it to some meets and win some money without spending more on travel than they have a shot at winning.
