Elite Vaulter's Daytime Jobs

Unread postby Scott Go Pre » Sun Feb 27, 2005 2:04 pm

I am wondering what kinds of jobs do the elite vaulters do when they aren't jumping. I know that Daniel Ryland works with Bell in Jonesboro. What are some other jobs that the big jumpers do to pay the bills?

-Lindsay Taylor is an Assistant track coach at Idaho State
-I think Justin Norberg does marketing for Venue sports
-Jeff Hartwig, breeds and sells exotic snakes
-Keenan King is a waitor and has another job(not sure what it is off hand)
-Russ Buller was head coaching at McNeese, but recently retired.
-I'm not quite elite but I do Marketing and Promotions for the Local Paper

......those are the only ones I can think of off hand.

Scott Hennig (now retired 5.80 vaulter) was and still is a personal trainer.

Jim Davis was doing some personal training/coaching with his coach Ty at Peak Performance Sports.

Lesa Kubishta used to work for Home Depot in their program for developing Olympic hopefuls which provided flexible hours and benefits.

Yeah, he wants to focus more on vaulting now. Taking on a head coaching position and trying to train at the level he is at, is alot to take on.

Add Paul Terek to the Home Depot list.
