VaultnGus sez :

Man what happened to Angela? In 2003 she took 2nd and 3rd at the indoor
and outdoor championships respectively. She also topped the 13' mark.
Since then she's had tough times. She managed to clear 3.95m 12'11.50
last spring but NH'd at nationals. This year she hasn't really even
come close to breaking the 12' barrier. Hopefully she can turn things
back around.

Sophomore Chelsea Sherier will represent the University of La Verne at

I think Chelsea is a rookie. No marks from her in 2004. Starts out this
season with two meets below 10' and now she's all the way up to 3.53m

VaultnGus sez :

The last Wisconsinite in the field (don't worry there are plenty more
on the guys side). So far she's 7-for-7 in qualifying for the big show.
That's a pretty impressive accomplishment i must say. She's finished no
lower than 5th in her three trips indoors but hasn't really put up any
super impressiv emarks yet this year and only qualified this year in
her last meet. S'aight. I think she'll deal...

Hans Schmidt Hans Schmidt Hans Schmidt. Wait a tick - he graduated
didn't he? The owner of 6 of the past 8 DIII titles - including the
last 4 - has moved on to the post academic world (or maybe he's in grad
school - i'm not entirely sure...) which has every one else in the field
breathing a sigh of relief. Heck three of his teammates are in the top 6
of the field so UW-L ain't doing all that bad. Topping the list is Chris
Swanson from Otterbein who is the only one over 17' this year (multiple
times in fact) and jsut returned from the USATF Indoor Championships in
Boston where he performed admirably amongst the elite. Personally though
I gotta root for MIT's Nathan Ball - he's a heck of a guy.

Chris Swanson just keeps on impressing. Two years ago he was stuggling
to get over 12'. This year he battled the big guys in Boston and took
5th. His worst meet was just over 16'. Every other meet - over 17' with
a best of 5.35m 17'06.50. In a word - dominating. It's gonna be real
tough to knock him off.
