that would be a bar tab my friend! Not a bar tap, but i thought some people would think that, that is why i put it in the pole vault - general section.

One time my elbow hit the pole and I didn't feel it, the bar fell off. I'v also had it jump off the pegs and land back on once. I've seen some one land on it so it bounced up and landed on the peg above. I'v also seen a fat kid break the bar... it was kind of funny. He sat on top of the bar for a couple seconds then it snapped...fortunatly another school brought a cross-bar with them so they put that up.

One meet I was jumping, I brought the bar down with my chest then it poped back up and hit me in the jaw. That sucked, and i didn't even make it, all that pain for nuthing.

I know that some bars stay up more than others, the cheep light ones usually will blow off on a windy day.

it seems like for me, my jersey could brush the bar when i vault and the bar will come down. i vaulted last year with a kid who at least once a meet, hit the bar, where it could bounce and stay on. sometimes he even didnt push his pole away (cuz kids from my old school didnt know how to vault very well) and the pole would come back, hit the bar, slide to the standards, and somehow stay up, its crazy

wow, i feel i have soo much to say... but, well, i HAD a bar beer tap in my living room.. now, i just got the fridge 'cause i live alone and i think i'd feel obligated to keep drinkin' so it stays fresh, so, now just the fridge'll do, although i can fit with ease 3 30 packs, and i never have to leave the couch, either of 'em.. (good planning on where i put my fridge)

'bout the "cross" bar.. i hit that %^&*^ so hard once i got a big ol' fat bloody lip..... and.. it was a make... hahahahahahaha.. SCREW YOU BAR!!

haha during one jump over the summer i was so focused on getting vertical on my jump, that i forgot to let go of the pole when i turned and cleared the bar... the pole whacked the bar with all of my momentum, then i let it go.... AND THE BAR STAYED ON! OH YEAH.. but aside from that, my luck is the worst.

One time I went up and hit the bar with my chest going upside down. going back down I managed to put it back up using my chest. It's definately an art ;) . Seriously, though. Just don't touch it and it wont be a problem.
