Grand Haven Beach Vault (MI) now has prize $$ for elites!

The guys who run this meet are really awesome. I haven't made it up there yet, but I've seen the DVD and it looks so much fun. They have the coolest t-shirts ever!

My name is Dave Emeott from Kentwood Michigan. I am the pole vault and Head coach at East Kentwood High School. Each Year my Partner Kevin Patterson and I run a Beach Vault competition on the shores of lake michigan. This is our 4th year running this competition, last year we had 155 competitors over 2 days on 2 sewperate runways. We have had the honor of hosting athletes such as Christi Lehman(nebraska), Mark Zilch(lewis) and many local jumpers like Breanna Eveland(K-State) Brad Teeple(nebraska). Breanna is origignally from my school and Brad is from a city just south of here.

This year we are offering prize money for the first time. $500 to the winner and $250,$125 for 2nd and third. We are trying to get the word out to more pro's that may be looking for a good meet. We are also the midwest qualifier for the USPVA for a free trip to Clovis for the top male. We may also be able to supply elite men and women with a room. We have already been contacted by Justin Norberg and he plans to attend.

this is an amazing competition. its held on a beautiful beach on lake michigan. last year there were better than ideal conditions ( 80 degrees and sunny with a good little tailwind). its tons of fun just to come out and chill ontop of competing!
