Hayward hosts summer all-comers meets

Eugene, OR (U-WIRE) -- Athletes 13 and older have an opportunity to compete in a weekly all-comers meet at Hayward Field every Thursday evening during the month of July.

Pole vault and high jump begin the competition at 5 p.m. Other events include the long jump, triple jump, shot put, javelin, discus, hammer, women's 100-meter hurdles, men's 110M hurdles, jogger's mile, 100M, 200M, 400M, 800M and 1,500M.

Ribbons will be awarded to top-five finishers, while results are grouped by divisions 13- and 14-year-olds, 15-16, 17-18, open (19-29), Sub-masters (30-39) and Masters (five year age divisions beginning at 40).

The cost is $3 per athlete. Athletes are limited to three events, while Oregon Track Club junior members are eligible to compete for free. OTC senior members are charged $1.
