How Much should I spend on this Pole?

Unread postby VaultMarq26 » Thu Aug 11, 2005 3:19 pm

This summer I was vaulting at my high school on a 14'6' 175 Accelerator. It was 15' but was cut down. I am looking to use it only for a 4-step during warm-ups on practice days. I was just wondering how much I should offer my High School coach if I want to buy it?

poor zach, nobody's responding to your message! I will...but i don't know too much about finances,

I would expect you would have to pay for at least half of the orginal cost of the pole, seeing as it is used, old, and cut down...wouldn't you think? Maybe half would be too much...i'd offer 100 bucks and no more than that... ;)

I was thinking around 100. One good thing is that I know that no body at the HS is able to use that pole right now.

An Accelerator? - Whoa, those poles are so old (mid 1980's) and were pretty badass. Think I once heard they were made by Dan West at Catapole. Kind of like a turquoise colored glass? I had one in high school - think it was a 1440 and a damn good pole

I would ask your coach if you can borrow it since nobody is using it. If no, offer like $50 bucks since it's cut, 20 years old, and discontinued.
