Unread postby Mecham » Tue Sep 13, 2005 7:54 pm

What would you like on a wrist band? I think the color that was mentioned is clear (white) and glow in the dark? reply what you would like as a quote or make up one of your own.

I got some from a couple topics...

I definetly want one that says polevault on it. that way people will understand. Sorry but Grip It and Rip It! just isn't going to make sense to anyone who doesn't polevault and i am willing to say even a lot of pole vaulters wouldn't understand what it meant

yeah i see that. but from someones point of view who lives on the opposite coast of you (me) it means nothing. so while it is sweet for you i think the bracelets need something more universal.

WOW, Try being original and unique for a change, instead of worrying about if people understand or not ,that wouldnt be hardcore if it didnt say grip it and rip it, if u dont want that you hate toby-I call It!So be unique! just like the sport of pole-vault, Start some convos with it, use it as an ice breaker, just be real and, DO YOU
Achilles: [to his men] Myrmidons! My brothers of the sword! I would rather fight beside you than any army of thousands! Let no man forget how menacing we are, we are lions! Do you know what's waiting beyond that beach? Immortality! Take it! It's yours!

Nothing against Toby, he is a great vaulter but if you want unique go for something like iPolevault. it is unique and still means something to everyone. Sorry but i just think grip it and rip it is dumb. when i think rip i think blister on had that popped and now you have a chunck of skin missing from the bars at gymnastics. Painful. why would you want a bracelet like that. anyway, i think your post was way out there for someones first post. I just don't think Grip it and Rip it means something to everyone.

I am typically fond of iPolevault and Pole Vault. Really anything pole vaulting related is cool with me. Grip it and Rip It seems....kind of long... Maybe. Im not sure. i think it seems like that because i have a small wrist. But i like everything people have mentioned

It is true about the conversation starter though

In Achilles' defense, it was definitely a thought-provoking comment, and I even considered changing my mind...so thought-provoking, yes...but 'out there' not so much....especially for pole vaulters who are all already 'out there' :P
