Unread postby scubastevesgirly » Sat Jun 25, 2005 11:03 pm

Does anybody know when they decide/post the T&F NCAA qualifying standards for next year?

the NCAA committee usually posts the qualifing standards online for Division 1 2 3 around late september to mid october, just in time for the indoor season. I think that is when they are posted.

Do you think they would raise qualifying for next year for women/men?

Well indoors it does not matter as much what the standards are since they take all the autos plus however many provisionals until they have 16 vaulters.

Last year 4.10 was the lowest that got in for the girls, and it generally gets harder every year.

13'5 and some change. It will probably take 13'6+ to make it to indoor nationals this year.

and on the guys side the last couple years it's taken about 533 to 535 indoors. This should probably be the case again next year I imagine.
Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill. - Muhammad Ali
