India Women's National Record
The articles Becca quotes have me considerably confused, especially given the detail they offer on earlier records. I have Chetna Solanki already having cleared 3.80m at New Delhi on 1 June of this year and Vazhipali Suresh Surekha matching that 3.80m at Incheon on 2 September. Both of these marks are shown on Jalava's 2005 outdoor deep list.
Since the 3.55 cited for Surekha, I have:
India 3.55 Vazhipali Suresh Surekha 1 Mumbai 2004-09-12
India 3.60 Chetna Solanki 1 New Delhi 2005-03-11
India 3.60 Vazhipali Suresh Surekha en New Delhi 2005-05-17
India 3.60 Chetna Solanki 2 New Delhi 2005-05-17
India 3.70 Vazhipali Suresh Surekha 1 New Delhi 2005-05-17
India 3.75 Chetna Solanki en New Delhi 2005-06-01
India 3.75 Vazhipali Suresh Surekha 2 New Delhi 2005-06-01
India 3.80 Chetna Solanki 1 New Delhi 2005-06-01
India 3.80 Chetna Solanki 1 New Delhi 2005-08-24
India 3.80 Vazhipali Suresh Surekha 9 Incheon 2005-09-02
I wonder what could be happening here? Maybe just that the Indian Federation hasn't yet ratified the record improvements during 2005 and the reporters didn't bother to check on pending ones?

India Record
Okay, by the morning light I can see my problem: The articles were talking about a meet record, not the national record. Sorry, R
