Help me out

Unread postby Outlaw » Sat Mar 04, 2006 11:51 pm

Ok I've been using a 125 lbs Big Stick thats 12' long. It's the only thing that my cheap school has. I tried to move up to a 145 lbs Big Stick but I can't hold up at the top so I really don't bend it. I've figured I'd get a new pole. I weigh like 120 lbs. Now I've got two choices for a new pole (which Ima buy). One is a 135 lbs Sky Pole thats 13' 6" long. Or I can also get a 135 lbs ESSX that is 13' 7". Which would be better? Or is there any other pole that might be better for me?

Okay, here is how this whole pole length/weight thing works.

When you go up 1' in length it equals about 20lbs so a 13' - 100 is the same as a 12' - 120 or a 11' - 140.

So, when you are talking about buying a 13'6 - 135, it will be about 35lbs stiffer than your 12 - 125. My advice would be look into a 12'6 - 125 or maybe a 13 - 120.

Good Luck

I live in Cali.
And I really was bending that 12' 125 lbs pole waaaay too much thats why I decided on so much longer and heavier. Any more advice.

Yes, you should be able to handle a 13'6 140. It is actually about 5lbs softer than the 12'6 165.
