Pole vault event
The Drake Relays has announced a men's invitational pole vault field that includes an Olympic gold and silver medalist, and the American indoor and outdoor record holder.

They'll begin at 2 p.m. on April 29 at Drake Stadium.

Nick Hysong won the gold medal at the 2000 Olympics, while Toby Stevenson finished second in 2004. Jeff Hartwig, the American record holder, was ranked No. 1 in the world in 2002.

The field also features 2004 Olympian Derek Miles; Tye Harvey, who won a silver medal at the 2001 World Indoor Championships; Justin Norberg, fourth at the 2005 U.S. Outdoor Championships; Giovanni Lanaro, the reigning Mexican national champion; and John Russell, who was third at the 2006 NCAA Indoor Championships.
