Dragila??

Unread postby roger/over » Mon Apr 24, 2006 5:17 pm

Does anyone have any information on what's happening with Stacy Dragila? Her last result, as far as I can tell, was 7 August in Helsinki. No indoor vaults reported for 2006.

I have her 2005 outdoor season as:

4.55 San Diego 4 June
4.30 New York 11 June
4.45 Carson 25 June
4.60 Lausanne 5 July
4.50 Réthimno 10 July
4.40 Helsinki 7 August

An odd footnote is that she did have a 2006 indoor long jump result: 5.90m (19'4 1/4) at Pocatello on 4 February. Since that's just a centimeter less than her all-time indoor best for the event, it would seem that any injuries aren't affecting her running speed.

The website link that's given on PVP for her is no longer functional. What's the story?

She is super fit. Started jumping a bit at the end of indoors and looked awsome, but then tweaked her leg again in training. She is still battling that stupid Achilles. But she still has a ton of drive and is determined to make a comback. If she can get a handle on her leg she will be flying high again. You have to remember she's a cowgirl :) Don't give up on her, she will return.......

We had heard rumors and now that the list is up for the Modesto Relays, I guess it's true. Stacy is on the start list. YEAH!
