Women's "play-by-play" Updates

Becca & I are going to try to do an encore peformance from cell phone from Indianapolis via home computer in Connecticut. I've tried to set up the start list a little more clearly than I did for the men last night (that was a last-minute, rush job).

There is talk of moving the pole vault indoors. Supposedly IUPUI's indoor track is being checked out to see if that can work.

Iupui's indoor track isnt much of a track at all. There is hardly enough room for a pv runway and there is no mat inside. USATF would never allow an indoor mark to stand as an outdoor mark, especially at outdoor nationals.
Indiana has the best vaulters!!!

I just spoke with Becca on the phone. She said that they've postponed the women's vault until 7 pm (Eastern, Daylight Savings). They are planning on having them jump outdoors. She said she thinks that they put it to some sort of vote.

So, I'll be "on the air" at 7 tonight.

They are warming up now. Erin Asay and Lacy Janson are DNS. Becca reports that it's cooled down - about 67 degrees - and maybe there's a little tailwind now, but it's a "little swirly" so it may not be a true tailwind.
