New job.

And I think alot of the non-release part has to do with other athletes in other field events transferring before Keith decided too. (Cough, cough)

It sounds like the coaches were tired of the mass exodus goin on in the Burgh.

Still, its all kinds of messed up that you won't release a kid after the coach leaves.

I don't think 5.50 or 5.60 is nearly high enough to win. 5.85 to 5.95 is more like it.

5.65m or 5.70m is my guess... 5.85m or 5.95m seems a bit too high considering the indoor record is 5.85m and the outdoor record is 5.98m... and with no returning athletes with a 5.80m PR or better, 5.85m is a big jump at the big meet and 5.95m is scary...
My vault PR? Probably 2.00 meters...

i think 5.95 is feasible, Tommy Skipper's starting height last year was like 5.80

Have you ever seen Tommy jump? If he is healthy, 5.85 is very realistic.

Skipper's PR is 5.79m so I doubt he opened up anywhere near 5.80m except for the day of his PR when he came in at 5.79... nuts! I think for a 5.95m jump someone would have to be consistent at 5.80 or 5.85.

Becca,

I have seen Tommy jump and I realize he is an amazing talent... I'm only backing up my estimate of 5.65m or 5.70m winning the NCAA meet. Does Skipper have the abilities to jump 5.85m+? Definitely. But does he stay healthy and put all of that together to go 5.85m at a pressure-packed meet? I think it is doubtful. I still stick to my prediciton of 5.65m or 5.70m to win NCAA's.
My vault PR? Probably 2.00 meters...
