Top vaulters heading to Australia
February 01, 2007
AUSTRALIA'S world-leading pole vaulters Steve Hooker and Paul Burgess will get top-class international competition on home soil this season.
American vaulters Brad Walker and Toby Stevenson, both members of the elite six-metre club, have accepted invitations to compete at the Melbourne grand prix meet on March 2.

They will also compete at the national championships in Brisbane from March 9 to 11.

Hooker and Burgess are the world's No.1 and No.2 ranked pole vaulters.

Hooker will get a close look at his American opposition when he competes against Walker and Stevenson at the Millrose Games in New York on Saturday (Australian time).

Burgess and Hooker are also scheduled to vault at a meet in Ukraine on February 10 before returning to Australia.
