The best weather we had was at my Junior Varsity meet. It was mid 70s and sunny. Although wasnt the greatest meet for me.

I like 80's and 90's myself. The heat gets me runnin faster I think.

from my experience i like the heat better...i live in alabama and it gets hot enough here, and we had to jump in ohio twice and both times it was rainy windy and cold (40-45). Wind isnt a bad thing but when its a 20mph crosswind its a problem. So i would definitly go with heat!

i m originally from PA, but i vaulted at USC, so i ve seen both high and Low extremes. I dont know if you guys agree...but i personally feel that warmer weather makes poles softer.

i m not sure if theres any scientific data concerning fiberglass and excessive heat, but i feel like i get alot more out of poles is the temperature is at or below 55 degrees. anyone agree (or disagree?)

Definately agree! I was going to put that but I already took up enough space. I truly believe poles are softer in heat and stiffer in cold!

Or maybe it is just your body that is stiffer in the cold :idea:

Yeah, I dont know I think you run faster in heat which would make your poles seem stiffer. But I do believe it affects the pole a "little" to.

its like when somethin freezes, its hard and when somethins hott it melts and its soft. also you do run faster in warmer weather. cold weather can make u tighter and more likely to pull a muscle. but really hot sun can drain ur energy even if you just sit in it.

my poles are all in a building by our runway in one of my fields. I'm gonna take a micrometer and measure a few at different places when its really hot, then check them again at night. Anyone wanna take bets on the changes?
I know someone already did this for flex testing, and there was no change.
