You Might be a Redneck Pole Vaulter
You might be a redneck pole-vaulter if:
You know how many bales of hay it takes to make a pit.
You have ever worn camouflage coveralls for warm-ups.
You have ever missed a bar because you swallowed your dip.
Your TV antenna is held up by a pole vaulting pole.
You shop for tape adhesive at Autozone.
Your grandmother has been kicked out of an indoor meet for smoking.
She did not take the cigarette out of her mouth as she told the head official to kiss her a**.
You have been arrested at the airport for having a pistol grip hack-saw in your carry on.
You have ever tried to pole vault in cowboy boots.
Your plans for transporting your poles involve bailing wire and duct tape.
You know that anything over a 12' 120 is too heavy to fish with.
As soon as deer season starts you no longer have a coach.

If some of the beams holding your barn up are round and green and say 5.50+ Cata-Pole.
If you shopped for your kid's first pole at Home Depot.
If you have ever jumped up and down on a pit with a shotgun hoping the skunk would make a run for it.

Yes, I don't know from personal experience, but I think the upper lip dips were easier to keep from swallowing. Or maybe it was the other way around. It probably just depends on how much you get inverted.

not skunks under the pit but rabbits lol, until we smashed it and and didn't know it and it smelled like hell, after about a week we pulled the pit apart and found it lol, for the snuff try pouches, and most of the time the view is of a whole bunch of cows, i can relate to just about everything on this thread lol

If setting the standards at your home pit involves the use of post-hole-diggers.
If getting your indoor facility ready involves shoveling manure.
If you have ever had to separate your dogs for fighting over which one gets to sleep on the softest part of the pit.
If you have ever had to clear your runway by yelling "Shoo!"
If the only reason your runway doesn't fall apart is that all the termites hold hands during practice.
If you know that the ground underneath the pit is a great place to dig for bait.
If any part of your training diet involves chicken gizzards.
